South Texas Mission Trip Opportunity
October 17-22, 2010
Where: We are making another trip to Livingston, Texas (north of Houston, east of Huntsville) to help homeowners with damage from Hurricane Ike (September 2008). Over 75 homes in the area still need work.
When: Oct. 17 – 22, 2010 We will drive in SUV or mini-vans, leaving GPC about 1:00 p.m. on Sunday Oct. 17 and returning to GPC Friday Oct. 22nd in the early evening.
Who: Anyone with the Mission Spirit to work to help others in need. We will be cleaning up and rebuilding. On our last trip, we rebuilt a porch and breezeway and reroofed a house. No prior experience is necessary. However, anyone who has done home construction work before will make our team better.
Our accommodations will be double rooms at the Hampton Inn in Livingston, Texas. Each participant is asked to contribute $100 to defray GPC expenses (“scholarships” are available) and to bring enough cash for their snacks.
