The Annual meeting for Grace Presbyterian Church was held on Sunday, January 17th at 12:00PM.
The purpose of this meeting was to review the pastor's terms of call, hear the Sessions presentation of the 2010 budget, and to vote on the slate of Elders and Deacons. There was a quorum present. The pastor's terms were approved and the slate of officers were passed unanimously.
David Myers - David joined Grace in 2000 with his wife, Lyndee, and children Jonathan and Brianna. He has served as an elder at the Woodlands Community Presbyterian Church, as a Deacon at Grace, as an adult sponsor for various youth Juarez mission trips, and as a sponsor for both Crossroads and Logos.
Jim McCoy - Jim joined Grace in 2004 with his wife, Lynn, and children Eileen and Thomas. Jim co-leads the Trinity Sunday School class with his wife, is currently on the Adult Education team, a member of G-Men, and completed Top Gun 1 & 2, and recently enjoyed the Bible in 90 days class. Jim is the chief technology officer for InnerWireless in Richardson.
Nancy Fraser - Nancy joined Grace in 1992 with her husband, Steve, and children Stuart and Matt. Nancy is a member of Women of Grace, helps facilitate the Bible in 90 days class and is enrolled to participate in the "Clean Water University" with the Mission Ministry. She also works as an accountant.
Stephanie Turner - Stephanie has been a member of Grace her entire life. Her parents, Melvyn and Kris joined Grace in 1990. Stephanie is a junior at Plano West Senior High School, participates in Exultation youth choir, Credo handbell choir, youth group and the North Texas Celebration weekend.
Eric Edstrom - Eric joined Grace in 2000 with his wife Jamie, and children Walter, Harry, Sigrid and Olivia. Eric sings in the Sanctuary choir, has served as an Elder, served on two Officer Nominating Committees and on the Stewardship Committee. Eric runs a telecom expense management business he founded in 2003.
Jerry Phelps - Jerry joined Grace in 1990. Jerry has served as an Elder, a substitute Sunday School teacher, a member of various committees and the Saturday morning Mens Bible study. Jerry has recently become involved in the G-Men and Top Gun.
Doris Conover - Doris joined Grace in 1983. Doris has served on the Worship and Growth committees, the Office Nominating Committee, Christian Quilters, various bible studies, Women of Grace, Dinner Club and the Yada Yada Book Club. Doris worked as a property / casualty underwriter and then joined the Dallas holding company working in Risk Management. Doris retired in December of 2007.
Becci Haas - Becci joined Grace in 2005 with her husband, Tom, and daughter Alicia. Becci teaches Kindergarten Sunday School, has helped organize the Fall Festival for the past 4 years and serves on the Childrens Ministry. Becci is a stay at home wife and mother.
Vincent Belmares - Vincent joined Grace in 2006 with his wife, Susan, and children Lane, Adam and Alexandria. Vincent is a graduate of Top Gun, a Stephen Minister, served on the Galveston Mission Trip, Bill Glass Prison ministry and has served at the Austin Street Shelter.
Jeanice Crowley - Jeanice joined Grace in 2002 with her husband, Fred, and son Draven. Jeanice has served on the Officer Nominating Committee, the Endowment Committe and has also been active in Women of Grace and several small groups.
Dave Long - Dave joined Grace in 1996 with his wife, Sue, and children Jonathan and Christopher. Dave has served as a Deacon, and is actively involved in a small group and adult Sunday School. He is a Senior Account Executive for a company based in Chicago.
Judy Jolley - Judy joined Grace in 1997 with her husband, Rob, and daughter Bree. Judy has taught Sunday School, participated in the Disciples Bible study, the Scripture Chasers bible study, WEBS and the Moms Needing Moms group. Judy works as a data analyst at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas.
Hilda Salas - Hilda joined Grace in 2007 with her husband, Christopher. Hilda is involved with Women of Grace and the Solomons Tent Sunday School Class. Hilda works as a homehelper working with Seniors.
Lovet Umesi - Lovet joined Grace in 2008. Lovet is an accredited lay reader of the Methodist Church of Nigeria and was ordained in 1997. Lovet is a retired banker and was a part of our World Communion Sunday.
Scott Snyder - Scott joined Grace in 2006 with his wife, Pam, and children Amanda and Allison. Scott and his wife sing in the Sanctuary Choir. Scott is a engineering director in Dallas.
Fred Crowley - Fred joined Grace in 2002 with his wife, Jeanice, and son Draven. Fred has helped organize the support of the Austin Street Shelter, served on many of the Tijuana Mission teams, served on the Brazilian Mission Team and a member of the Top Gun Mens program. Fred owns a Registered Investment Advisory Firm in Plano.
Cathy Davis - Cathy joined Grace in 1996 with her husband, Keith, and children Lizzie and Jon. She volunteers with our youth ministry program and has recently helped start the College Care Ministry.
Tammy Toll - Tammy joined Grace in 1995 with her husband, Freed, and children Olesia, Max and Coley. Tammy is a past elder and is involved in the Wednesday Morning Moms Bible Study and is passionate about the Cursillo ministry.
Jeri Wise - Jeri joined Grace in 1991 with her husband, John, and sons Brandt and Evan. Jeri is currently serving as a Sunday School teacher, has served the Childrens Ministry, Mission Ministry, Stewardship Committee, Vacation Bible School, Grace Staff and is involved in the Christian Quilters.
Marilyn Knetzger - Marilyn joined Grace in 2002 with her husband, Jack. She has served as a deacon, been a part of the Prayer Group, the home-bound visitation team, and has facilitated and participated in several Disciple Bible study classes.
Emily Nichols - Emily is a charter member of Grace. Emily is married to Dwight and mother to Austin and Anna. Emily has served as an Elder and a Deacon, co-leads the 9 am worship band, and also is apart of the Adult Handbell choir.
David Chow - David joined Grace in 1997 with his wife, San, and children Hayley and Robin. David is a Sunday School teacher for Kindergarten and Grade School, has served on the Endowment Committee and as a part of the Tijuana Mission Team.
